Food and wine match:

Dreaming of summer in winter or enjoying lazy summer nights? Try the Arneis 2015 with roast chicken, paua on saffron risotto, a bbq or oven backed whole fish, tagliatelle alla Romana, porcini mushroom risotto, pumpkin or celeriac soup, a vegetarian dhal or Tandoori Chicken.

Tasting notes:

Elegantly fragrant with aromas of stonefruit, apple, lemon peel and herbal notes. Medium-full bodied with a concentrated and finely textured palate showing some oxidative treatment from being partially fermented in seasoned oak barrels with lees stirring. Finishing refreshingly dry and superbly long with typical nutty characters of Arneis.

Growing and making:

The Arneis was harvested by hand on 5th April 2015 having reached ripe orange juice like flavours with a note of hay. A high sugar level (22.9 Brix) was balanced by good acidity and a low pH.
